  I was baptized in Zion Missionary Baptist Church in1963and sang in the youth choir. Back then Reverend Negil McPherson was a positive force in the lives of a bunch of young would be hoodlums. He and believing in the word of God saved us from our environment. Now The Reverend Samuel Hale is the guiding force and Pastor of Zion Missionary Baptist Church and I don't know a better teacher of the Bible. Come visit Zion Missionary Baptist Church, the oldest African American Church in Springfield and share in a worship of God and prayer experience with us. There's power in the name of Jesus.
